Swedish boys win third gold medal in Five-Player Team event

James Gruffman, Patrik Bohm, Johan Sörensen, Marcus Berndt and Pontus Halvarsson won the third gold medal for Sweden in as many events when they captured the title in the boys five-player team event at the 19th European Youth Championships at World Cup Hallen in Roedovre, Denmark.
The team posted games of 1041, 1161 and 958 (3160) on the second day to finish with 6083 six-game total and an average of 202,77. Pontus Halvarsson led the team with 685 including a 280 en route to secure the gold medal in All Events. His team mates finished among the top 24 in All Events, who advanced to the Masters finals.
Overnight leader Finland with Mika Heino, Tuukka Tynkkynen, Mikko Masalin, Jani Heikkinen, Juhani Tonteri and Juuso Huhtiranta slipped one spot to second with 5878 (195,93). Host country Denmark with Thomas Larsen, Frederik Øhrgaard, Paul Hutchinson, Anders Vorborg and Bo Winther took the bronze medal with 5850 (195,00).
