One day after finishing second in the BNC Bratislava Open, Paul Moor, England, captured the title in the 2010 Kegel London International at Airport Bowl in London. In the title match in double-elimination format over two games total pinfall, Moor defeated compatriot Matt Chamberlain, 489-385, to lift the trophy for the second time after 2003.
Chamberlain, who fell to Moor in the final match of the winners bracket, 471-433, must defeat Moor twice to win the title. After qualifying for the Kegel London International Open finals on Thursday, Moor flew to Slovakia, where he lost in Sunday's title match against Austria's Thomas Gross, and flew back home for the finals in London on Monday.
The 3-time European Bowling Tour ranking champion and EBT Masters winner took a huge 88-pin lead after winning the first game 558-170, and never looked back. He cruised to the title to tie Steve Thornton (1995, '99) as two-time winner with a 231-215 in game #2.
In the finals of the losers bracket, Mike Quarry defeated Adam Michaels, both England, 417-375. Quarry finished third and Michaels fourth.
