The presidium of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) has announced the sites and venues of the 12th European Bowling Tour 2011, which will include 22 tournaments in 17 countries.

As introduced in 2010, the tournaments will feature four categories:

• EBT Platinum (minimum prize fund of 100.000 Euro)
• EBT Gold (minimum prize fund of 60.000 Euro)
• EBT Silver (minimum prize fund of 40.000 Euro) and
• EBT Satellite (minimum prize fund of 20.000 Euro).

All 19 tournaments but the Luxembourg Open (Satellite event) from 2010 Tour will repeat in 2011. In addition those 18 tournaments, four EBT Satellite events will be added:

• Odense International (Denmark)
• Viborg International 2011 (Denmark)
• Chandra Open 2011 (Netherlands) and
• Norwegian Open 2011 (Norway).

The Norwegian Open, a member of the EBT from 2004-2007, will be back on the EBT schedule after a three-year absence.

The 2011 EBT will consists of 7 gold tournaments, 7 silver tournaments 7 satellite tournaments and ends with the sole platinum tournament in Doha, Qatar, which will offer the highest prize fund of 120.000 Euro. The total prize fund of the 2011 EBT will exceed 1.1 million Euro.

The 2011 EBT season will kick off with the Brunswick Ballmaster Open in Helsinki, Finland, the only tournament which was on the Tour since the beginning in the year 2000.

The top 16 women and the top 16 men in the 2011 European Bowling Tour ranking will qualify for the 5th EBT Masters, which will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Dream Bowl Palace Open in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany on April 30th and May 1st 2012.
