Harry Sullins leads after second round in PBA Senior Miller High Life Classic

With a 240.6 16-game overall average, 2009 Professional Bowlers Association Senior World Championship winner Harry Sullins (pictured left) moved into the lead after the second round Tuesday in the PBA Senior Miller High Life Classic at George Pappas Victory Lanes.
Sullins, of Chesterfield Township, Mich., had games of 278, 228, 257, 280, 290, 206, 265 and 248 in his second eight-game block Tuesday to bring his total pinfall to 3,850 for 16 games.
Sullins holds a 16-pin lead over John Pepper Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., in second and a 31-pin lead over 2008 USBC Senior Masters winner Kenny Parks (right) of Hammond, Ind., in third.
"I've been kind of feeling my way through the first two tournaments (of the season) and I'm hoping I can do well here in Mooresville before the tour heads out west," said Sullins, who also owns five Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour titles. "I've been rethinking my game this week both in the equipment I'm using and the way I make adjustments and it appears to be paying off."
Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr. (left), who earned his record seventh PBA Player of the Year honor at the conclusion of the 2009-10 PBA Tour season in April, remained in 11th with a 3,703 pinfall.
The 156-player field was cut to the top 32 who advance to best-of-five match play beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Wednesday. Match play continues all day Wednesday with the Round of 8 and championship rounds scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
After the Miller High Life Classic, the Senior Tour will take a break before it makes a western swing which includes the PBA Senior Northern California Open later this month and the PBA Senior U.S. Open and USBC Senior Masters in Las Vegas in June.
