Haukås, Kellegher claim Open Division titles in 11th Hammer ALSAA Re-Entry Open

Haukås became the 6th Norwegian champion after 2000 Tore Torgesen (2000), Petter Hansen (2002), Geir O Pedersen (2005), Ulf Arnesen (2006) and Martin Olsen (2008) with a 1309 series including games of 265, 299, 248, 279 and 218, an average of 261,80 for five games.

Kellegher became the first Irish women's champion following games of 247, 224, 214, 246, 191and an 1122 series (224.40 avg.). Haukås pocketed the 800 Euro top prize while Kellegher received 400 Euro.

Matthew Hann England was third with 1263 (200 €), with Del Delany, England, in fourth (1260, 135 €) and Grant Dugan, Northern Ireland, in fifth (1229, 65 €). Defending champion Dominic Barrett, England, landed in 6th place with 1228.

Aidan Byrne (right) led the Junior Division with 1144 and Pete Lilburn won the Handicap Division with 1193.

Trailing Kellegher by 49 pins to finish second in the women's Open Division was Dutch Nicole Sanders with 1073, worth 135 Euro. Heidi Thornstensen, Norway, finished third with 1042 (100 €), with Carol Catchpole, Ireland in fourth (998, 65 €) and Lynn Watson, Northern Ireland, in fifth (992, 35 €).

Yvonne Randell (right) followed in Kestell's footprints and went to the top in the Handicap Division with 1105.

The 11th Hammer ALSAA Re-Entry Open drew 181 entries. The tournament, which runs concurrently with the Irish Open, was divided into four divisions, Open, ALSAA, Junior and Handicap (80% to 200). The winners were determined over five games total pinfall. One prize per person, based on highest value/division. Dominic Barrett, England, and Patcharin Torgersen, Norway, are the defending champions.
