Jang, Yanagawa, Harimoto, Kuji lead in Masters finals after the first block

2009ASBCLogo.jpg Seon Myeon Jang from Korea (men senior) and Honami Yanagawa (women senior), Yusuke Harimoto (men grand senior) and Junko Kuji (women grand senior), all from Japan, took the lead in the Masters finals of the 10th Asian Seniors Bowling Championships after the first eight games of round robin match play. All 64 players will return tomorrow for the final seven games plus one game position round.

The top 16 players from the All Events standings in each division advanced to the Masters finals to bowl 15 games round robin match play plus position round starting from scratch.

The 10th Asian Seniors Bowling Championships drew 219 players - 140 men (70 seniors and 70 grand seniors) and 79 women (44 seniors and 35 grand seniors) from seven countries - Australia, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and the Philippines - who will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, four-player Team, All Events and Masters.
