The women's and men's 2008 European Bowling Tour ranking champions, Nina Flack (pictured left), Sweden, and Osku Palermaa (right), Finland, have positioned themselves atop the 2009 rankings as the Tour has reached its halfway point in San Marino.
With 8 out of 15 events in the books, Palermaa, who has earned an exemption for the PBA World Series in August, held on to the lead in the men's division with 334 points after a 28th place finish in San Marino.
Dominic Barrett, England, remained in second place with 282, followed by Martin Larsen, Sweden, with 264.
Mads Sandbækken, Norway, who finished fourth in San Marino, leaped from 7th to 4th place with 260. San Marino winner Paul Moor, England, received 100 ranking points for his victory to jump from 11th to 5th place with 249.
Swede Robert Andersson moved from 9th to 6th place with 236. Rounding out the top 10 are 7. Dennis Eklund, Sweden, 227; 8. Tore Torgersen, Norway, 226; 9. Tobias Karlsson, Sweden, 222; and 10. Jesper Agerbo, Denmark, 207.

Nicole Sanders, Netherlands, leaped from 7th to third place due to a 10th place finish (86th overall) with 246 points. Krista Pöllänen, Finland, is fourth with 240, followed by Patricia Luoto, Germany, with 234.
Diana Zavjalova, Latvia, came from 9th to 6th place with 226. Ghislaine van der Tol, Netherlands, and Nicki Ainge, England, are tied for 7th with 216. Veronica Lantto, Sweden, used a second-place finish (38th overall) to jump from 18th to 9th place with 196 points. Rounding out the top 10 is Kirsten Penny, England, 180

The 9th Stop of the 2009 European Bowling Tour, the 31st Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona will start on Tuesday July 14 and runs through Sunday July 19 at Bowling Pedralbes in Barcelona, Spain.
The top 16 men and the top 16 women at the end of the 2009 EBT season will qualify for the EBT Masters to be held in Vienna, Austria, from May 3-4, 2010.
