6th Oltremare Championships, an EBT Major, has been cancelled

Stefano Coppa, organizer of the Oltremare Championships in Naples, Italy has informed European Bowling Tour director Kim Thorsgaard Jensen that the 2009 edition of the event has been cancelled. The 6th Oltremare Championships, an EBT Major, was scheduled for November 14-22, 2009 as the 16th stop of the 2009 European Bowling Tour.
The late cancellation is against the EBT Rules and Regulations for the tour. But even if a tournament is cancelled, the organizer is still obliged to meet all financial claims with relevance to the tournament - both from players with a documented entry order and from ETBF, Thorsgaard Jensen emphasized.
Players with documented non-refundable airline tickets should contact the organizer immediately to claim a refund of their travel expenses.
The 2009 European Bowling Tour now consists of 15 tournaments - 11 Majors and 4 Challengers. With seven tournaments in the books, the 2009 Tour reaches its halfway point at the 5th Storm San Marino Open July 4-12, 2009 at Rose'n Bowl in Serravalle, San Marino.
