Persson earns top seed for Singles finals, Adolfsson wins gold in All Events

Joline Persson Planefors, Sweden, earned the No. 1 seed for the Girls Singles finals by winning the six-game preliminaries with 1314 pinfall total and an average of 219.00. Her team mate Elin Adolfsson grabbed the fourth and final spot with 1279 en route to win the gold medal in All Events (combined results from Doubles, Tean and Singles competition).

The Swedes will meet in the semifinals while No. 2 seed, Chantal Jacobs (1299), Netherlands, takes on Polina Kosyakova (1292), Russia.

Liat Vizenfeld, Israel, earned the silver medal in All Events with 3790 pinfall total and an average of 210.56. Bronze went to Sandra Andersson, Sweden, with 3737 (207.61). Persson Planefors was just 13 pins off the pace for the medals in fourth place with 3724.

Christina Kappatou, Greece, took the 24th and final spot for the Masters final with 3469 pinfall total or an average of 192.72.

The EYC 2009 are divided in two divisions - boys and girls. Each team consists of maximum four male and four female players, who must not have reached the age of 19 before August 31st, 2009.

The players compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Teams, All Events (18 games) and Masters (top 24 in All Events, single-elimination, best-of-three games).
