Stefan Nilsson (left), who shot the first of seven 300 games in the qualifying of the Norwegian Open, rolled the first perfecto of the finals and the eighth of the tournament Sunday at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo, Norway.

He accomplished the feat in the second game of Round 2 featuring players seeded 13th to 24th after qualifying and the top 12 from round one. All players bowled four games from scratch to cut to the top 12, who advanced to the next round.

Nilsson had games of 245, 300, 208 and 193 for 946 and an average of 236.50, good for 4th place. Norwegian national team member Svein Roger Olsen (right) lead the round with a huge 982 total including three 246 games and a 244 in game two.

Olsen is the right hand man of bowling center proprietors Petter Hansen and Sverre Lund (pictured), who also bowled in round two.

Hansen (r.) , the captain of Team Norway, made the cut in 10th place with 906, while (l.) Lund returned to his work behind a 24 place finish.

Frederik Øhrgaard, Denmark, was second with 951, with Arne Egil Olsen, Norway, in third with 948. Martin Larsen (right), Sweden, hit the cutoff number of 899, an average of 224.75 for four games.

The top 12 from round two meet the players seeded 1st to 12th after qualifying in round three. All players will bowl four games from scratch to cut to the top 12, who will advance to the fourth round.

Once the field is cut to the top 12, players bowl two games from scratch to cut to the top 8, then the top four, who advance to the semi-finals (No. 1 vs. No. 4, No. 2 vs. No. 3). The winners of these one-game matches will bowl for the title and the 60.000 NOK top prize.

Top 12 from Round 1 and the players seeded 13th to 24th in the qualifying bowled four games from scratch. The top 12 advanced to the third round.
