Bolleby sets the pace in Norwegian Open finals

2007EBT17KimBolleby.jpg Kim Bolleby (left), Sweden, was the most consistent player early Sunday morning at Veitvet Bowling Center in Oslo, Norway en route to lead the Norwegian Open final round one with 973 four-game total and an average of 243.25.

The lefty had games of 237, 266, 226 and 245 to lead the 24-player field featuring players seeded 25th to 48th after qualifying. All players bowled four games from scratch to cut to the top 12, who advanced to the next round.

2007EBT17GlennMortenPedersen.jpg Norwegian international Glenn Morten Pedersen (right) sandwiched games of 290 and 258 between two 180s to finish in second place with 922. Team Norway anchor Petter Hansen was third with 916.

2007EBT17MartinOlsen2.jpg Junior Team Norway member Martin Olsen (left) started the finals with a 299 game and missed the tournament's 8th 300 game by mere one pin. Olsen ended up in sixth place with 896.

Audun Boye Hansen, Norway, took the 12th and final qualifying post with 827 or an average of 206.75.

The top 12 meet the players seeded 13th to 24th after qualifying in round two. All players will bowl four games from scratch to cut to the top 12, who will advance to the third round.
