Daniel Falconi ends 20th Central American and Caribbean Sports Games with victory in Men's Masters

2006CACSGMenMastersDanielFalconi.jpg 2006CACSGMenMastersIldemaroRuiz.jpg Daniel Falconi (left) from Mexico added another trophy to his impressive collection when he ended the 20th Central American and Caribbean Sports Games at Tito's Bolo Club in Barranquilla, Colombia, with victory in the Men's Masters finals.

In the title match, the three-time American Zone Champion (including the Masters) easily defeated Ildemaro Ruiz (right), Venezuela, over three games total pinfall, 645-546. Both players eliminated a Puerto Rican in the semis. Ruiz sidelined Luis Rodriguez, 623-574, while Falconi survived a strong charge by Gabriel Sanchez, 645-642.

The Masters featured the top 16 players in All Events (Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Trios and Team) competing in single-elimination match play. All matches were three-games, total pins format.
