Hugh Miller, Seattle, Wash. won the title in the PBA Senior Epicenter Classic by rolling 12 strikes in the championship match against 1999 PBA Senior Player of the Year Dale Eagle, Tavares Fla.. In a high-scoring match, the 51-year-old southpaw, who had another perfecto in last game of qualifying, topped Eagle, 300-268, to secure the title. It was the first career PBA Senior title for Miller, a seven-time PBA champion. "My last win was in 2002, and that was a regular tour event. I haven't even won a regional since 2004." In the semis, top-seeded Ross Packard fell to Eagle, 258-203, while Miller ousted Sam Zurich, 289-235.
Brian Brazeau overcame a 23 pin deficit to defeat Wayne Webb, 245-244, in Tuesday’s championship match to win the PBA Senior Decatur Open. Webb, built a quick lead after striking in four of his first five frames strained his calf muscle during his celebration of a strike in frame 6. Webb did his best to stay in the game, but the pain began to get to him and Brazeau began to take command. In the tenth, Brazeau needed to strike and get at least an 8-count spare, which is exactly what he did. Brazeau's first career PBA Senior Tour title was worth $8,000. The PBA Senior Decatur Open concludes the 2008 PBA Senior Tour season. 
Mark Williams is no stranger to winning. The PBA Hall of Famer won seven PBA Tour titles and is one of only 31 players to surpass the $1 million mark in career earnings on the PBA Tour. However, Williams added a new feat to his resume, by winning his first career PBA Senior Tour event on Thursday night. Williams of Beaumont, Texas, defeated Dale Traber of Cedarburg, Wis. in the championship match, 249-234, to claim the PBA Senior Lake County Indiana Open title. The 2008 PBA Senior Tour concludes next week with the PBA Senior Decatur Open in Decatur, Ill. 
Nick Morgan, an amateur bowler from Sacramento, Calif., won his first Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Senior Tour title at Harvest Park Bowl Wednesday when he defeated Dale Traber, Cedarburg, Wis., 247-227, in the championship match of the PBA Senior Northern California Classic. Realizing a dream that began in his junior bowling days, Morgan was thrilled with his victory. The University of California-Davis collegiate bowling coach has tasted success in the collegiate ranks and as a past winner in the High Roller 40-and-over division, but, “This one definitely tops them all by far.”
In a battle of Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Famers, first-year Senior Tour player Wayne Webb defeated Johnny Petraglia to win the 2008 PBA Senior U.S. Open presented by Suncoast Friday at the Suncoast Bowling Center. Webb, a 20-time Denny's PBA Tour titlist bowling in only his second Senior Tour event, defeated Petraglia 204-172 in the championship to win the $20,000 first prize. For Petraglia, it was a bitter disappointment after having dominated the entire tournament from the opening qualifying round to earn the No. 1 qualifying spot for the stepladder finals.

All 24 players will return Friday morning at 7 a.m. PST for the second of three straight eight-game round-robin match play blocks with the final block schedule for noon.
Three Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Famers - Johnny Petraglia (l.), Mark Roth and Steve Cook (r.) - would like to add another milestone in bowling history by becoming the first to win a Denny's PBA Tour U.S. Open and a Senior U.S. Open title. All three bowlers found themselves making the first cut after third round qualifying Wednesday in the PBA Senior U.S. Open presented by Suncoast at the Suncoast Bowling Center. The field has been cut to 80 players who will bowl another nine games of qualifying Thursday morning. The field will then be narrowed to 24 players for round-robin match play beginning Thursday afternoon.
PBA Hall of Famer Johnny Petraglia continued his hot pace in qualifying in the PBA U.S. Senior Open presented by Suncoast, retaining the lead after second round competition Tuesday at the Suncoast Bowling Center. The six-time Senior Tour and 14-time Denny's PBA Tour winner has a 2,948 12-game pinfall total after two days. He rolled 1,471 for his six games on Tuesday (245.1 average)
A year ago Rick Minier became the first amateur to win the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Senior U.S. Open presented by the Suncoast. In a battle between two Texans, Minier strung six strikes in the title match to defeat David Ozio, 240-223, and capture his first PBA Senior Tour title. Minier has now turned his focus toward defending his title against nearly 300 of the world's best professional and amateur bowlers when the 2008 PBA Senior U.S. Open presented by the Suncoast is conducted June 15-20 at the Suncoast Bowling Center in Las Vegas. The Senior U.S. Open begins with six qualifying games on three consecutive days (June 16, 17, 18).
In his quest to become the first three-time winner of the United States Bowling Congress Senior Masters, Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Famer Tom Baker won all four of his winners bracket matches Thursday at Golden Pin Lanes. From an original field of 260 entrants, the Senior Masters field is now down to 12 players, four in the winners bracket and eight in the losers bracket. Double-elimination match play continues on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. with the championship match scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The winner will earn a $16,000 first prize.

The field is now cut to the top 63 bowlers who will join defending champion Tom Baker (r.) in three-game, double-elimination match play which begins Thursday morning at 9 a.m. 
Despite having to deal with the affects of diabetes, 58-year-old amateur, Rod Tramp of Porterville, Calif., led first-round qualifying Monday in the United States Bowling Congress Senior Masters at Golden Pin Lanes. Tramp rolled a 1,130 five-game total on games of 249, 185, 246, 236 and 214 to lead the 260-player field made up of Professional Bowlers Association Senior Tour players as well as amateurs. Qualifying continues with five-game blocks on Tuesday and Wednesday. 
When Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Famer Tom Baker of King, N.C., competes in the 2008 United States Bowling Congress Senior Masters, he hopes to become the event's first three-time winner, not to mention being the first to win three years in a row. The 2008 Senior Masters will be conducted June 8-13 at Golden Pin Lanes in Tucson, Ariz., and Baker will be one of nearly 300 of the world's best senior competitors ages 50 and older competing in the season's first senior major. As defending champion, Baker will not have to qualify and will be seeded directly into match play.
Some things just seem destined to be. After a rollercoaster Tuesday of bowling, a sixth Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Senior Tour title was just in the cards for Johnny Petraglia. The 61-year-old PBA Hall of Famer, who was on the ropes in nearly all of his matches Tuesday, defeated Hugh Miller, 226-213, to win the 2008 PBA Senior Jackson Open at Airport Lanes for his first since PBA Senior Tour title since 2001. Petraglia earned $8,000 for his victory while Miller (Seattle) took home $4,500. 
The last time Kevin Croucher (l.) put himself in a position to earn two byes in match play, he parlayed that advantage to his first career Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Senior Tour title. Croucher will look to repeat the feat Tuesday as he earned the top seed for match play and byes through the Rounds of 32 and 24 by leading the field with a 3,727 18-game pinfall in the 2008 PBA Senior Jackson Open at Airport Lanes. Sunday's leader Rohn Morton (r.) finished second with 3,700. 
The pride of Buffalo and two of bowling's greats will look to team up to win the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Ladies and Legends on Monday at The Cherry Bowl. PBA Hall of Famer Tom Baker and 11-time Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) champion Liz Johnson led their respective divisions in the 2008 Columbia 300 PBA Ladies and Legends presented by MGD 64 and will team up Tuesday for the round robin match play portion of the event.
Liz Johnson and Roger Kossert had so much success bowling in last year's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Ladies and Legends together, they're trying their best to team up again. The defending champions (pictured after their victory in 2007) led their respective divisions in qualifying Saturday and look primed to team up for a shot at defending their title in the Columbia 300 PBA Ladies and Legends presented by MGD 64 at The Cherry Bowl. The Ladies and Legends features the top female bowlers and the top male bowlers 50 and older.
A summer ago, Keith Sharp (right) came up just short in his quest to win his first Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Senior Tour title the same week he lost his father. This time, dealing with his mother's recent illness, Sharp was able to come through with a victory, defeating Sam Zurich in the title match of the 2008 PBA Senior Dayton Classic at Capri Bowling Lanes in the first event of the season. In an exciting finish which saw both bowlers finish with a 210 in the title match, Sharp won a one-ball roll-off, 10-8, for his first victory.
