One day after finishing second in the BNC Bratislava Open, Paul Moor, England, captured the title in the 2010 Kegel London International at Airport Bowl in London. In the title match in double-elimination format over two games total pinfall, Moor defeated compatriot Matt Chamberlain, 489-385, to lift the trophy for the second time after 2003. The 3-time European Bowling Tour ranking champion and EBT Masters winner took a huge 88-pin lead after winning the first game 558-170, and cruised to the title with a 231-215 in game #2.
The 2010 Malta Tenpin Bowling Association National Championships were conducted recently at the Eden SuperBowl in St. Julian's, where Malta's top tenpin bowlers competed in separate male and female categories for the most prestigious honor on the local scene. After three sessions and a total of 24 games, the 2010 champions are Neil Sullivan and Sue Abela in their respective divisions. While it was the first victory for Sullivan, Abela clinched the fourteenth championship title of her illustrious bowling career.
Evje Bowling in Evje, Norway (July 29 - Aug. 8, 2010)
Björn Einar Rudshagen and Line Berg Almestrand (l-r) walked away the winners in the men's and women's division of the 2010 Evje Open International in Evje, Norway. The eventual winners took different routes to the title. Rudsgagen, seeded third, had to win two matches before he defetaed top seeded Frode Olaussen twice to win the 3.660 Euro top prize. Top seeded Almestrand wrapped up the women's title, worth 1.830 Euro, with a 237-191 win over Ann Louise Haugen Andersen.
Bowling events at Brunswick Bowling Hernals in Vienna, Austria (July 9-11, 2010)
Several thousand youth athletes from 27 countries competed in 9 sports, basketball, bowling, soccer, wrestling, swimming, tennis, table tennis, volleyball and racketlon in the World Sports Festival from July 9th thru 11th in Vienna, Austria. The Bowling Championships at the World Sports Festival 2010 featured two
events: Mixed Trios and Singles, both on a handicap basis. For the first time in the WSF bowling competition England has brought
some handicapped bowlers to the event.

25-time PBA Champion Brian Voss (center), Kennesaw, Ga. filled his trophy case when he won the title in the Czech Open 2010 Sunday at Bowland in Olomouc, Czech Republic. In the championship match over two games total pinfall, the former PBA Player of the Year flew past Vytautas Gykis (l.), Lithuania, 476-370, to wrap up the title and to earn the 2.500 Euro top prize. Clemens Ulsamer (r.), Germany, finished third. The Czech Open 2010 drew 223 players, 188 men and 35 women, from 13 countries.
Nesher bowling center in Haifa, Israel (July 2-9, 2010)
Shahaf Antin and Aviv Alfital won the women's and men's individual titles in the 2010 Israel National Championship in Haifa.
The top 8 women and the top 8 men after 20 games advanced to the finals in best-of-three games format. In the men's final, Alfital, seeded 6th, defeated No. 2 seed Lior Koren, two-games-to-one. Antin, seeded 2nd, swept top seeded Liat Vizenfeld, 2-0, to win the women's title. Both champions will represent Israel in the 33rd European Champions Cup in Turkey.
Dutchman Phil Hulst defeated PBA professional Michael Haugen Jr., United States, 219-172, to win the inaugural 2010 Bowling Promotion Cup. The made-for-TV invitational was held June 6 at Bowling Center Châteaubriant, France. Organizer Bruno Bidone, who took one of the six spots, teamed with Sergey Andreev, Russia, to win the Doubles competition. Europsort 2 has announced that the 2010 Bowling Promotion Cup will be broadcasted on July 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd.
Darya Kovalova shoots first 300 on her way to the women's title
Mikhail Kalika and Darya Kovalova (center) claimed the men's and women's title in the 2009-10 Ukrainian Sport Bowling Championship at Terminal Bowling center in Brovary near Kiev. Defending men's champion Kalika, 23, who also won the title in 2004 and 2006, won his fourth career national championship with a 234-200 win over Yuriy Grinnik in the 10th and final event of the championships. 15-year-old Kovalova flew past Natalia Malysheva, 258-202, to claim the women's title.
Eden SuperBowl in St. Julian's, Malta (June 16-20, 2010)
Marcus Berndt (r.), Sweden, led the 19th Malta Open Championships at Eden SuperBowl in St. Julian's in qualifying and earned the No. 1 seed for the stepladder final after going 9-2 in match play averaging 221. In the championship match in best-of-three games format, Berndt swept No. 2 seed Matt Chamberlain, England, two-games-to-none, to win the title and the 2.500 Euro top prize. The 19th Malta Open Championships drew 88 players, 78 men and 10 women,
from 11 countries.
Top seeded Swedes beat Finland to win the first gold medal of the championships
Nina Flack and Helen Johnsson (r-l) claimed the first gold medal at the 3rd Women's European Championships 2010, when the Swedes successfully defended the Doubles title Monday at Zelta Boulinga Center in Riga, Latvia. In the championship match, the 2008 WEC Doubles champions defeated Finland's Piritta Kantola and Krista Pöllänen, 454-429. Finland took the silver medal and England and Denmark shared the bronze
medal. The championships will continue Tuesday and
Wednesday with the Trios event.
Strike & Co in Gothenburg, Sweden (June 5-6, 2010)
Current national team member Dennis Eklund (l.) and former women's national team member Marie Bengtsson (r.) won the Swedish National Championship finals Sunday at Strike & Co in Gothenburg. In the men's title match in best-of-three game format, Eklund defeated Hafthor Hardarson, Iceland, two-games-to-none while 44-year-old veteran Bengtsson went the distance to beat Joline Persson Planefors, 2-1, to claim the women's title. Both will represent Sweden in the European Champions Cup in October.

The finals of the first Youth Euro Trophy Tour were held on Saturday, June 5 at Bowling De Meibloem in Gent, Belgium. The 2009-2010 YET featured five youth tournaments in England, Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany. 8 girls and 8 boys from each division - Division 1 (19-21 years), Division 2 (15-18 years) and Division 3 (up to 14 years of age) - qualified for the finals.

In the title match, Sundbyberg defeated Team Kulladal from Malmoe, while Spader Dam topped Team X-Calibur from Gothenburg. 7-time defending men's champion, Team Pergamon, had to settle for bronze.

Torgersen won another gold in Doubles with Ine Lorentzen, while Svein Roger Olsen and Thomas Fagerstrøm, Solli BK, secured the men's title. Mads Sandbækken and Torgersen will represent Norway in the 46th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup from Oct. 15-24, 2010 at Bowling 300 in Zagreb, Croatia.

In a title match between two members of the Swedish national team, Dennis Eklund (center) defeated Martin Larsen, 202-195, to win the Örgryte International 2010, the third stop of the Swedish Super Six Tour 2010. Eklund, who denied Larsen's bid for back-to-back victories and ended a 4-year title drought on the SST, pocketed 40.000 Swedish Krona for the feat or approx. USD5,500. Larsen (l.), seeded 4th, defeated Tore Torgersen and Mikael Roos (r.) on his way to the title match.

In preparation for the 2010 Men's World Championship Austria, England, Switzerland and Germany sent their national squads to 52-lane Dream-Bowl Palace in Unterföhring, Germany for the Nations Cup 2010. Marco Baade (l.) led the Singles on Friday while Jens Nickel and Bodo Konieczny (r.), all Germany, won the Doubles. Paul Moor. England, rolled the first 300 of the event in Doubles.Â

Multiple World Champion Martin Larsen (r.), Sweden, is back in the winner's circle of the Swedish Super Six Tour after defeating Team Pergamon team mate Tomas Leandersson(r.) in the title match of O'Learys Tournament Skövde, the second stop of the 2010 Tour. The title match was one-sided from the beginning as Leandersson, who has won the first SST stop in Stockholm in January, opened in the first frame and again in the fifth while Larsen started with a spare and a four-bagger to cruise to victory, 247-180.
Jens Dengler, and Michael Schneppe (left), both Germany, teamed to win the 10th Strangers Doubles Tournament Sunday, Aug. 29th at Bowling Beseco in Rümikon, Zurich, Switzerland. In a close title match the two Germans topped Nicolas Guillaume and Fredéric Janzen (right), both Switzerland, 376 to 359, to wrap up the title.

Karsten Aust (l.) of Germany used a 792 3-game series in the 7-game final of the 33rd Grand Prix Zurich to cruise to the title Sunday at Bowling Center BeSeCo in Rümikon-Winterthur, Switzerland. Aust beat out qualifying leader Jean-Marc Godel (r.), Switzerland, for first place by four points, 102 to 98. Alexander Szummer, Switzerland, and defending champion Oliver Blasé, Germany, finished in third and fourth place with 87 and 83 points, resp.
