Brown, Vandamme win their second ISBT title in French Senior Open

Angie Brown (pictured right), England, and Chris Vandamme (left), Belgium captured their second on the inaugural International Seniors Bowling Tour when they claimed the women's and men's title in the French Senior Open Sunday, Sept. 5 at Planet Bowling in Lomme, France. As the 7th stop on the popular ISBT clashed with the Irish Senior Open, only 53 men and 13 women traveled to northern France to take part in the French Senior Open.

Vintens, Oldfield claim back-to-back ISBT titles in Belgian Senior Open

2010ISBT06LilianeVintensRonOldfield_small.jpgJust two weeks after their victory in the 5th Schiedam Senior Open, Ron Oldfield (right), England and Liliane Vintens (left), Belgium, won back-to-back International Seniors Bowling Tour titles by winning the men's and women's division in the Belgian Senior Open at Bowlmaster in Brussels, Belgium. Oldfield won his fourth ISBT title by mere four pins over André Geelen, Belgium, while Vintens had a 67-pin cushion over Angie Brown, England, to win her second title in the women's division.

Ron Oldfield wins his third ISB Tour title in Schiedam Senior Open

Liliane Vintens wins her first women's title

2010ISBT05LilianeVintensRonOldfield_small.jpgRon Oldfield, England and Liliane Vintens, Belgium, (pictured left) captured the men's and women's title in the 5th Schiedam Senior Open, the fifth stop of the inaugural International Seniors Bowling Tour which was held from July 27 through Aug. 1 at Chandra Schiedam in Schiedam, Netherlands. It was the third title on the Tour for Oldfield who also won the first and the third event in Monheim, and in Buxtehude, both Germany. Vintens, who is the president of the ISB Tour, celebrated her first victory.

Pascoal-Blom, Horne set the pace in ALPA Senior Open after Day 2 Qualifying

Top 2 women and top 4 men after two days earn berths into the finals

Germany, after the second day of qualifying with 2472 and 2833 pinfall total, both including age bonus. The top 2 women and the top 4 men after two days earned automatic berths into the finals on Sunday. The men's winner will receive the 2.000 Euro top prize, while the women's champions will pocket 1.000 Euro.

Barry Horne starts ALPA Senior Open with a bang

Rolls the tournament's first 300 in his first qualifying block

2010ISBT03BarryHorne_small.jpgBarry Horne (pictured), an American who lives in Germany, started the third stop of the inaugural International Seniors Bowling Tour, the ALPA Senior Open in Buxtehude. Germany, with a bang. Horne fired the tournament's first 300 game Wednesday in Squad 2 and finished with 1445 six-game total including 42 pins age bonus, a sratch average of 233.83. Thomas Witt, Germany, leads the men's qualifying with 2646 12-game total. Former Dutch standout Farida Pascoal-Blom sets the tone in the women's division with 1259 total.

The top 6 players in each age group in the All Events standings (18 games) advanced to the Masters finals Friday at Plus Bowling. Pictured left are the medalists in Men Group B. On the right are the top 3 in Women Group A.

Masters competition to conclude the Championships on Friday

2010ESBCTriosMen_small.jpg12 out of 21 participating countries - Finland, France, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Israel, Italy, Germany, Irland, and Switzerland - shared the medals in Singles, Doubles and Trios at the 2010 European Senior Bowling Championships in Vienna, Austria. The top six men and the top six women of the All Events standings in all three age groups advanced to the Masters finals in round robin match play format. 936 senior bowlers - 287 women and 649 men - from 21 countries compete in the six-day event.

It was the first gold medal in the championships for Austria and Norway and the second for Finland. The other events, Women Trios, Men Singles, Men Doubles and Men Trios will conclude on Thursday.

Israel, Belgium and Finland earned the first gold medals of the championships which will run through Friday June 25. Markku Puurunen (right), Finland, and Walter Rieger, Austria, set the highlights in the men's division thus far when they shot the first 300 games of the championships.

2010ESBCLogo.jpg The 2010 European Senior Bowling Championships are underway at Plus Bowling, Brunswick Bowling Hernals, and Brunswick Bowling Prater in Vienna, Austria. 947 senior bowlers - 289 women and 659 men - from 21 countries will compete over six days for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios and Masters. Each division, men and women, is divided into three age groups. The top 6 players in each group after 18 games (Singles, Doubles, Trios) will advance to the Masters finals on Friday, June 25th.

Seniors bowlers invade Vienna for the 2010 European Senior Bowling Championships

Championships will be held simultaneously in three bowling centers

2010ESBCLogo_small.jpg Almost 1000 senior bowlers invaded Austria's capital city of Vienna for the 2010 European Senior Bowling Championships, which got underway on Saturday evening, June 19th, with the Opening Ceremonies at Eventhotel Pyramide. The ESBC will kick off on Sunday morning 9 a.m. CET at three of Vienna's biggest bowling centers, Plus Bowling, Brunswick Bowling Hernals and Brunswick Bowling Prater. Almost 300 women and more than 600 men from 22 countries will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios and Masters.

Claim the men's and women's title in Arthur's 5th Senior Open in Monheim, Germany

All ten tournaments on the 2010 ISBT will have separate divisions for men and women and separate prize funds.

The Finn dashed Lena Sulkanen’s (r.) bid for victory on her debut tour appearance right at the death in a tense final full of drama. Down by seven pins Koukonen posted a huge 258 game in the second to claim the title, 464-424.

Plans unveiled for new International Seniors Bowling Tour 2010

ISBTLogo_small.jpgA group of tournament directors representing the most popular Seniors tournaments in Belgium, England, Germany and Netherlands have decided to leave the European Bowling Proprietors' Association (EBPA) Senior Tour and to run their own International Seniors Bowling Tour starting in March 2010. Past Belgium national team member Liliane Vintens was elected president of the ISBT. It was agreed that all tournaments of the ISBT should be sanctioned by the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF).
